I am very concerned about…

I am very concerned about the way Minister's zoning orders (MZOs) are currently being used. In my opinion, they are not being used according to the spirit in which they were created, but rather to fast-track projects which are not of critical importance and circumvent the proper review process on projects where it would be in the best interests of Ontarians for the normal restrictions to apply.
MZOs serve a valid function, but they are currently being used so indiscriminately that I do not think that amending the Planning Act to make it easier to issue them will be in the long-term best interests of Ontario.
Therefore, I oppose Schedule 3 of Bill 257.
