I am vehemently opposed to the use of MZOs. It is a blunt instrument that subverts democracy by preventing the public from engaging in the planning process. It is especially egregious when used to override protections for expediting the development of environmentally-sensitive lands. Ford needs to realize that democracy is often slow and messy. He should not be enacting laws just to appease his business and developer cronies while at the same time stifling public input.
