I commend the provincial government for adding the soil classes that the municipalities do not want to into prime agricultural. It is important to look at sustainabilty of food production for future Ontarians . Right now greed and a callous attitude exists for land that has production capabilities as well as excellent climate to make it possible. The same land , soil etc in northern Ont can not do it to the same extent as it does not have the climate . In spite of this acres and acres are disappearing.
This needs to stop and I believe the ministry is making a important step further
