I urge the government to deny this PTTW. Protection of our groundwater resources should be paramount especially for regional aquifers like those in Tiny Township where the groundwater is some of the purest on the planet due to the unique geological environment. Recharge rates in aquifers like these are very slow compared to the large-scale extraction rates for the industrial purpose that is proposed. This coupled with hotter and drier summers as global warming escalates, could lead to irreversible losses. The government should instead establish permanent protection for this aquifer and limit water taking for residential drinking purposes only.
