Deprioritizing renewable energy will only result in dragging our economy backwards. Pay attention to what what is going on I’m the rest of the world: this is outmoded, antiquated thinking that will harm Ontario’s future.
In addition to the financial risks of not being a forward-thinking province with strong environmental policy, we also need to be thinking about the external cost of carbon intensive energy generation. The property costs associated with increased flooding and extreme weather events will impact homes and businesses. There are well documented health impacts of fossil fuel based energy that will harm our population and drive up health care costs.
Stop thinking only about short term economic gain, and aim for real leadership and real planning for the future of this province. Renewable energy is the way forward - if we ignore it we will get left behind.
