The dragging of world leaders' feet on taking drastic action on climate change gives me nightmares. However, our provincial Conservative government is even worse. It is going backwards and destroying what other governments over the past twenty years have managed to legislate to begin minimizing the damage that we ALL are doing to our children's and grandchildren's future. Greta Thunberg said it appropriately, "How dare you?" Let's put greed aside and deal with this major problem as if we were at war. Mobilize every tool at hand and encourage creation and the use of green energy everywhere. Legislate the use of reusable containers instead of creating more garbage. People are ready to accept, if not embrace a cleaner more sustainable way of living, shopping, working and having fun. If we can deal with and survive this COVID-19 pandemic, then we are also able to make major, serious changes in our work, personal, social and recreational lives!
