MacGregor Concrete has 3 sites in a very small area in our Municipality. Plus another site under Campbells Bay cement has the 4th site. These 4 sites are within a 2 mile radius. They are all surrounded by waterways and (provincial) wet lands. The monitoring of the raw sewage sites are in question by many of us who live close to these sites. One site has been in operation for over 30 years 1444 Zion Line. Another location of dumping has an address of 1446. This address is not on the Approval. The company dumps many loads daily between April and the end of November on this property The raw sewage contains plastics, garbage and other contaminants which we know from scientific studies is harmful to the acoustic habitat of turtles and frogs in the marsh land and creeks close to the site. This business also dumps many loads of excess cement from cleaning their concrete trucks into holes on the same property. 25 trucks have been counted in one day going to the site. I am a neighbor to this property and do not think this could be something a Ministry of the Environment Conservation and Parks would be Approving. The amount of raw sewage coming into this small area is excessive. This Company has 4 trucks hauling raw sewage from a vast region in Ontario and Quebec. A school ,cycling and walking trail are located within the radius of these 4 Approved sewage disposal sites in Whitewater Municipality. The Children at the school have complained of the odor from the raw sewage spreading. No signs are posted. The soil where the raw sewage is dumped is not regularly tilled.
