As a long-time resident of Clearview Township I am writing to express my disappointment at and opposition to the proposed division of Conservation Authorities activities into core and non-core functions. Many of the activities such as trail maintenance and education are essential to a vital community. The recent upswing in use of out-of-doors properties and facilities shows how critical these are to mental and physical health. I have absolutely no problem with a portion of my tax dollars going to the support of the excellent work of my local Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority and , by extension, all of the authorities in the province. Please reconsider this decision.
