I am of the mindset that any company who is in possession of materials and/core operations involve a potential for detrimental environmental action should be required to carry some form of Environmental impairment insurance. Maybe even incorporating the need for the applicant to carry environmental Insurance within the ECA would be a great way to ensure that in the event something happen creating a negative environmental impact, there will be 0 concern that this cost will be passed onto the public and that any given insurance company will clean-up the discharge in a timely manner.
