I think this is a great idea. I have hunted for wild turkey and deer in WMU74A since 2016. The turkey population appears to be quite healthy.
I regularly see large flocks on our hunting property of between 20-40 birds during the bows-only, pre-gun deer season. These birds remain in the area until the spring season each year.
I trust the MNRF to make the right decision when it comes to opening fall turkey seasons in specific WMUs, and I would welcome the opportunity to pursue wild turkeys in the fall in 74A. Thanks!
