I am strongly against to issue the permit to Metrolinx. We cannot let Metrolinx bypass their obligations under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 in the construction of the Yonge North Subway Extension. The YNSE Option 3, which Metrolinx is proposing, only benefit a rich builder. This proposal by Metrolinx will destroy the local community and the natural park. A number of species at risk as well as endangered (at immediate risk of extinction) species have been identified in the area proposed for the YNSE. If/when Metrolinx is issued this permit, they will avoid adverse effects on species and their habitats. Please look at how they treat the local residents without any respect, without any caring, without any consultations.
The Yonge North Subway Extension should stay on Yonge street.
