The idea of protecting the area for its ecological significance is a good one. However, the
conservation Reserve designation would not provide the degree of protection needed for this ecologically significant area. Having had input into the designation of a provincial park elsewhere in Ontario, as opposed to the conservation reserve designation that was proposed as an alternative, I am convinced that this area too would merit provincial park status.
