I am opposed to the lowering of emission standards in Ontario for a number of reasons.
If OPG is granted this approval, the people who live in proximity to the generating station could suffer from adverse health impacts, such as respiratory problems, stemming from a variety of pollutants being emitted in their local area.
This is a dangerous, slippery slope and puts our health at risk. I fiercely oppose this proposal.
