I agree with what you are proposing as I am seeing an over reach from Halton Region and conservation Halton that is more about politics then protecting the environment.
When I say politics I mean developing draft maps that go into the official plan that are inaccurate and not ground truthed. This is being done to restrict this government from allowing more homes and development in Halton.
I sit on 4 agricultural committees and we are treated terribly. How? By adding more and more setbacks to natural heritage and wetlands encroaching on to our clear farmland. We can’t build an agricultural building in these huge setbacks. They create red tape and money in fees and environmental studies for 430 farms. It used to take 4 months for a permit and now 3 years. Region and CH do not care that we are 430 farm Businesses they cause misery for us. With false maps from aerial photos that show man made ponds as wetlands and any dark spot in the forest is a wetland. I have to pay for a study now to show it’s not a wetland and get it removed. This is disgusting that they get away with this. We can’t have ARUs or OFDUs if they are in the buffer of a bogus wetland. Shame, shame on these CAs that have kelso and mountsberg parks with lakes next to bathrooms and party rooms. They need to be shut down
