I am a cottager who owns property in the nearby town of Shrewsbury on Rondeau Bay.
I believe the Ontario government should allow the cottagers to buy the property they are leasing.
I believe there is a proposal for Chatham-Kent to mediate a purchase of these properties for the Rondeau cottagers. I do not think it is fair or reasonable to keep kicking the problem down the road a year at a time.
I think the Gov. of Ontario and the Parks dept. should relent and give these cottage owners some certainty and stability by doing the right thing and making these owned......not leased.
