I have a concern with the power of the Conservation Authority. They seem to be able to go on people's property at will. They appear to have the power to prevent farmers from cutting down their own trees, even when it is needed to get machinery through certain areas. When a farmer wishes to tile his/her own property (at great expense), to get better yields for their crops, they also have a say in that.
Farmers love their land. They want to take care of it. But the Conservation Authorities are heavy-handed and often don't make sense in their rulings.
