Where are the geographic areas in Ontario where there are gaps in public EV charging infrastructure?
Everywhere. Level 2 chargers installed at place where people park for extended periods (4+ hours) are a missing ingredient. Examples include commuter lots, metrolinx lots, hotels, motels, campgrounds, even golf courses. Major employers, as well as condo/apartment buildings are also critical to open up EV's to a greater portion of the population.

In what kinds of situations are public EV chargers most useful (e.g., type of trip, length of trip, type of charging location)? High speed chargers are appropriate along main roads and at crossroads, and should ideally include a restroom, and perhaps a coffee/fast food etc. They are appropriate for long road trips. The need for high speed chargers is less if overnight charging is widely available.

What are the challenges with increasing public EV charging in Ontario and how could the government help address those challenges? I attach a "case study" of a project that the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere did in Northern Bruce Peninsula, that got 50 level 2 chargers installed at hotels, motels, and campgrounds.

Your initiative here is incredibly important - I wish you well, and hope you manage to get maximum results for the investments.
