With the cost of food already at an all time high, why does the government insist that it is a good idea to take arable land and build on it? We need to focus on densification, and making homes affordable, not allowing already fat-cat builders to swallow up more good land to build crappy, unaffordable homes on. Also, there is currently enough land available, that the Greenbelt is NOT needed to develop upon and should be preserved - we need that land for our environment future. We NEED to stop making decisions about financial wealth and TODAY and to stop messing up the future for our children. It's another shortsighted and despicable action this government is taking and they need to be held to account.
