Too many single family homes have been built near the greenbelt, where there should be more density. Communities like Brampton, Milton, Oshawa and Vaughan have gigantic, sprawling houses, where mid-size condo communities, starter homes. and walkable communities should be created. There is absolutely no need to develop into the greenbelt if more thoughtful planning of cities that people actually want to reside in were developed. These new communities are an abhorrence of planning that should be reconsidered (ie. built out more) before developing into the greenbelt. Ford is just trying to line his developer buddies pockets with this scheme.
