Please don't develop these protected animals. We need green spaces, animals need it, healthy air and water needs it. It was protected for a reason. Lose 7500 acres but gain 2000, that's a massive loss and will devestate the ecosystem. Redistribute the population, don't expand Ajax, Whitby, Durham, Hamilton etc. Make more housing to the north and east. Support areas like North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay, Kenora, Huntsville, Haliburton, Lindsay, etc in their growth. It's more gentle on the ecosystem, allows for more affordable options, builds new economies and provides jobs for struggling regions. Don't cram everyone in protected areas. Build elsewhere, don't be so southern Ontario (Toronto) centric with these ideas. This is continued neglect of northern communities and our environment. It's shameful.
