This is absolutely abysmal. We all know that the people who need homes won't be able to afford the million dollar, poorly built monstrosities that you want to construct far away from any amenities! This is very clearly Ford's plan to put money into the pockets of developers. These are not houses for the people, these are houses for developers. and their f*ing friends. This will not help the housing crisis. Limiting oversight by the very groups that are put in place to protect tenets and the environment will only make things way worse.
Want to see an increase in homeless people by 2030??? This is a great way to get there!! Awesome legacy Doug.
From the perspective of tourism, local recreation, agriculture, habitat for diverse species, and the many, MANY ecological services it provides that helps with things like flood protection and more; the Greenbelt is a huge asset for Ontario and local residents. PROTECT THE GREENBELT. DO NOT LIMIT POWERS OF CONSERVATION AUTHORITIES. What the hell is wrong this this government?
