We oppose building in the Greenbelt.

It is unacceptable for the Province to be adding Vaughan's lost acreage and expanding the Greenbelt in a community hours away from us – which is fundamentally unfair to our residents.

Overall, there is no urgency to build more homes faster as Vaughan and other municipalities has tens of thousands of units in the queue to be built over the next decade. Imposing destructive development on the Greenbelt was not necessary.

Mr Clark and Mr Ford, you will have to find far more intelligent ways of solving this issue by respecting Official Plans of municipalities and not continuously breaking promises about the Greenbelt.

Mr Ford, you have had an embarrassing record of breaking promises to parents with children who have autism, the promises about not touching the Greenbelt, and after the over-issuing of MZO's and the 413 proposal, most are frustrated and fed up with your government. Stop violating our rights by invoking the Notwithstanding Clause and destroying our future by breaking your promises about the Greenbelt.
