Re- ERO Notice 019-6142 Rondeau Provincial Park

I fully support the 2-year lease extension proposed in order to find a long-term tenure solution for the cottage community within Rondeau. The only solution that will solve the complex issues is a sale of the lots to the cottages with the Municipality of Chatham Kent acting as an intermediary. The proposal before Ontario Parks by Chatham Kent and the Rondeau Cottagers association provides fair market value to Ontario Parks at the same time as expanding the amount of land inside provincial parks> Chatham Kent will secure an important tax base and economic engine in its municipality and Ontario Parks can get out of the headaches of being a landlord. Rondeau Park was established for the expressed purpose of establishing a cottage community and this community have been important stewards of the park for over 120 years. A permanent tenure solution must be found!
