There is absolutely no way in the world that the only option left is to build on protected green-belt land.
The housing crisis is with the low to middle income bracket - and this green belt expansion to build expensive houses on protected land won’t fix that. We need affordable housing downtown and there are plenty of empty buildings where this can go. Why expand into protected land when we can’t even get developers to finish the condo buildings they are currently building downtown??
This is a horrible idea. Please do not do this.
