These protected lands are absolutely vital now more than ever and each day they grow more and more important to protect. These proposals hold no ground and will benefit private parties with future plans for highway 413, which is a waste of money and time if the 407 was utilized for trucks opening the 401 to cars.
Sprawl isn’t the answer, what should be addressed is affordable housing in the current framework and not how to continue developing what 80% of the coming generation won’t be able to afford. We need to protect the environment as it’s all crumbling around us and no one is listening or frankly acknowledging what is happening right in front of them. Fix the extensive amount of empty unaffordable housing we currently have before even joking about ruining the last bit of healthy ecosystems we have left for more useless development.
Get Doug Ford out of power.
