I am against this bill…

I am against this bill. There are many other options to build affordable housing without touching the greenbelt. These other options should be explored before considering expansion into the greenbelt. We don’t need more sprawl, with more roads, highways and the resulting traffic. We need more affordable housing close to city centres, creating denser neighbourhoods with easy access to public transportation. It’s unthinkable to expand into the greenbelt when we are facing the threat of the climate crisis and the collapse of wildlife populations. This is short-sighted thinking that the people of this province will regret later.
