Accepting this proposal will provide the ford government with the ability to put into motion their plan to pave over 3,400 hectares of farmland for their new highway.
This would means at least $4 billion less money for public transit like subways and buses. We need more money put into public transit not less. With unreliable public transit people will opt to use cars that contribute poorer air quality. We need to invest in our public transit!!!!
Wildlife movement will be blocked and thousands of animals killed if this passes.
The construction and development will lead to poorer air quality and more greenhous gases which contribute to climate change.
