The green belt should not be changed. As climate change gathers more traction and our summers and winters become more frequented with storms we must do everything we can to protect the green spaces we have. It is completely appalling to even consider releasing some of this land to be turned into developments. If anything the green belt needs to be furthered in space and size, not diminished. The Ford government has lied to the people too many times, he told the people he would protect the green belt back in 2018 and is now going back on that “promise”.
The green belt needs to be PROTECTED. Stop exploiting the land for profit. Stop exploiting our green spaces and turning them into concrete slabs that will only further decimate nature and increase climate change. PROTECT THE GREEN BELT.
