I have been lucky enough to purchase a property directly outside the gates of Rondeau Park. I received a letter in my mailbox looking for comments on the extension of existing leases. I am in full support of the extension of leases to the cottagers. I have met quite a few of the people inside the park on my daily walks. I have learnt a lot of history about the park from the cottagers and how much they treasure their summers in the park. I must say who could not enjoy the peace and serenity of this place. I have been coming to Rondeau Park since I was a child and the fact that people have cottages in there makes no difference than people coming into the park camping which in my case are my problem. I constantly have trucks with boats and trailers parked in front of my property directly under the no parking sign a lot of the time and they even block my laneway with no regards to people who live there just so they can go in the store. Rondeau Park is a special place that should be enjoyed by all, and I hope that in the future the cottagers can continue and enjoy making family memories for years to come.
