Ontarians are owed an explanation as to why this decision was made, that clearly contradicts campaign promises made by this government. Additionally, transparency regarding benefactors of this decision.
Tearing up Greenbelt acres that were specifically protected against such actions for the benefit of a few is beyond understanding. The government claims it is for housing, none of which is affordable. Absolutely frustrating as a taxpayer to see such flagrant disregard for the law, constituents and the environment that will be the most impacted for years to come from this decision.
Leaders should have to clearly outline reasons why protective legislation can just be callously removed in this nature.
