Do NOT do this. You said you would not. Don’t be a liar. This will end your political career. This will not solve the housing crisis. This will put money in the pockets of very few. This will increase flooding. Pollute water systems. Not only will it damage the environment; it will ruin peoples lives. It will make them sick with contaminated water and flood their homes.
Have some integrity - do not go back on your word. Leave the Greenbelt alone!
