I lived for 40 years in Kent County which is now The region of Chatham-Kent and I think that every year there was a discussion about the cottages in Rondeau PP. The people who live or own cottages there have had ample time to find other vacation/living places.
Having houses in a public park allows an elite to stay in what should be a public space open to all.
Currently the houses are a mix of run down cottages and cottages abandoned most of the year. The area of cottages has a run down junk yard look with a scattering of lawn ornaments and debris not in keeping with nature.
Preservation of the nature in the park is the mandate of the ministry and the cottages do not conform to any definition of pristine nature.
Please do not renew the leases
