I am very much in favour of finding a permanent solution for the cottagers at Rondeau Park. My family and I have fond memories of the park and feel the proposed long term solution of allowing cottagers to purchase their plot is a fair solution given it would net in more protected land for Ontario than what is currently occupied by Rondeau cottages. The park was origionally commissioned for cottages. It is extremely frustrating and stressful to be on this back and forth journey where leases are renewed for short terms, lease language is rewritten based on different bureaucratic agenda's, ERO's are unending and deals are not kept because of a revolving door of new ministers, administrative staff and Ontario Parks personnel. People are making decisions without visiting Rondeau and without understanding that cottagers love and support the park and its surrounding community.
