Mr Gryck,
I was a young boy when my parents purchased our cottage in 2005. It was a safe place to experience independence and learn new skills, boating, fishing, bike riding trails, exposure to the beauty of nature and how to be a steward of protecting the park.
Our cottage is part of a larger community built on common values of friendship, volunteerism and teamwork. Beginning every summer we will re-connect with our fellow cottagers through many events. Visitors to our cottage also enjoyed the surroundings and were educated on this very special area in Southern Ontario. Many visitors return year after year.
It is very important that a permanent occupancy solution is found for all the cottage lots, and a sale under Section 9(3) of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act (2006) as directed by Minister Jeff Yurek is the best way to do this.
