My great-great grandparents built a family cottage and I have been going there since I was a young boy. I am looking forward to one day being the part owner of our cottage. I have been told that this may not be possible as you are considering whether or not cottagers should have their leases renewed or purchased outright. A few years ago I know we all talked about us being able to buy the lot, and we were all in favor of it. According to my family, the park was going to sell the lots, but now is considering something else. We've been going there for years, and have always been respectful of the nature of the park and all people in the park. We understood that the park had allowed us to stay until at least 2038, but also wanted to offer us to purchase the land, which is what the Ministry thought would be best.
I am in favor of having the leaseholders stay in the park forever, preferably by buying their lots. We are a part of the park and have maintained it very well.
