Urban sprawl is not the solution to the housing crisis.
Encourage and promote development to other areas where there is:
A) cheaper land
B) a housing crisis
C) an employment crisis (not enough employees to fill vacancies)
Continued sprawl of the GTA will only serve to severe Ontario into 2 sections once and for all. Those impacts will be far and wide. It already takes 2 hours to cross the GTA on the 401 from Milton to Pickering, encouraging more development in this area will NOT improve this
Where will our food come from? You cannot continue to remove prime farmland AND encourage more residents-how will we feed them?
As a resident who lives between Windsor and Toronto, I know first hand just how much land is available that has already been zoned for development, how about we use that first before destroying our great province
If this government truly cared about Ontarians, this would be removed as an option immediately
