I oppose the changes enacted in Bill 23. These changes undermine environmental and heritage protections, actually make it more difficult for communities to build affordable housing, dismantle regional planning and urban design considerations that are becoming ever more critical as climate change progresses, and undemocratically limit public participation in how communities are built and planned. Also, there was inadequate public consultation prior to the passage of this bill, as evidenced by the fact that the Bill has been passed while comments are still being received!
