I am a long-time resident of Dickson Hill, which borders a number of the Oak Ridges Morraine Redesignation and Removal Plans. I have a number of concerns.
Firstly, You indicate that 5474 19th Ave, Markham is on the corner of 19th Ave and Mc Cowan according to your map and explanation. However, the property with this address is actually quite different than indicated. It is a farm area that directly sits on the Rogue River. As this protected area is on a vital watershed (Hence the Oak Ridges Morraine Protection Plan), where is the environmental study indicating the impact this proposed development will have on wildlife and groundwater? The Little Rouge River, On which our property lies has seen incredible demise over the last 20 years as water levels have significantly fallen due to development within Markham and Stouffville.

Secondly, your map is very misleading indicating that 5474 19th Ave is simply a corner of 2 roadways when it actually encompasses a large portion of protected space. One might conclude that the lack of details on the map would be perceived as being negligent and purposely misleading. I certainly hope not, however, accurate mapping is essential to communicate with the public and engage with residents.

Thirdly, what consultation and planning has been done to address the already dangerous and overused roadways within this corridor? What exactly is the planning concerning vehicle use in this area? As a resident of the area, I can assure you that it has become notoriously dangerous for even walking my dog along 19th Ave in Dickson Hill. Commuters will often fly down this road at speeds upwards of 90 KM/Hr. (I live in a 50 km/hr zone). On more than one occasion I have been run off the road while walking by swerving speeding drivers. There is not even a sidewalk, even though I have asked numerous Markham Town Council Members for feedback. How will this Dangerous situation change?

Fourthly, as a resident of the area whose property uses a well and septic system, what plans are laid out to address the ever-decreasing levels of the watershed that residents need to access for well water? We have had to have our well reduced numerous times.
