This provincial government was elected with the promise NOT to develop the green belt. To develop the green belt betrays the trust of the people of Ontario, and betrays the reason the green belt was established in the first place: to protect environmentally sensitive areas, farmland, and animals. Expansion there will make all people of the GTA poorer, in the long run.
