The protection of the Greenbelt is essential to our lives, the lives of generations to come, and the lives of many plants and animals that live in Ontario. The development of the greenbelt shows a blatant disregard for Mother Earth and the future generation of humans. This forest protects watersheds from eroding river banks, maintains a cool temperature when temperatures are rising each year, and protects habitat for many species and species at risk.
I want a government that keeps its promises, has integrity, and takes climate change seriously. When we put the economy before our forests we are painting a picture of a struggling earth and providing the landscape for many ecosystem disasters. We are reaching our tipping point and allowing developers access to the greenbelt will be devastating.
Please repeal bill 23. Please have the courage to stand up for the greenbelt and all habitat it provides and the future of our province.
