Ontario’s heritage is under serious threat and it's conservation is of the utmost importance. Loss of landmarks/heritage sites, small town history, an area's history (i.e. places like Toronto's Annex, Cabbagetown) architectural significance, and more ate under seige. Destroying older buildings releases embodied carbon and contributes to climate change. These buildings and entire areas are being demolished and sent to landfill. The reality is that they are not being replaced with affordable housing.
Action must be taken now to protect our heritage. Gone is Gone.
