The province seems to not have done their research. Cities are not for profits. There is no one gettung rich off of DCs. This legislation will not lead to cheaper homes. The trickle down effect is not real. In addition to lost revenues, cities will need more staff to make these adjustments, now that they have more work to do. Misunderstanding of municipal reserves is an unfortunate lack of effort. Who will pay these people? Tax payers...again. I would appreciate if the province would talk to subject experts rather than those with a pecuniary interest. Our DCs are for good causes.
