I am in favour of the Region…

I am in favour of the Region of Municipality of Waterloo's new Official Plan. The plan is environmentally sustainable and allows for growth without destroying wetlands or farmland. It encouraged intensification and will create a city that is denser, with infrastructure that is less costly to maintain. Properly implemented, there is room for a wide variety of housing, including medium density. With investment from the Region, cities, province and federal government, affordable housing could be made a priority.
