I support the Region of Waterloo Official Plan Amendment as is and oppose any change to it by the Government of Ontario. The ROW Official Plan Amendment was passed by the Region of Waterloo Council on August 18, 2022 and supported by all the other municipalities in Waterloo region . It is designed to provide housing options that are accessible to services while preserving farmland and natural areas. I understand there is ample land for development without building on prime agricultural lands or on natural areas and wetlands.
