If the province wants to encourage home building, following Waterloo Region's Official Plan Amendment No. 6 would be a wise choice. It was approved by Regional Council in August with wide support from citizen groups, and it plans to accommodate 125,000 homes by 2031.
Bill 23's target for Waterloo Region is only 70,000.
Please allow the Region of Waterloo to proceed with our Official Plan and Amendment No. 6.
