Does regional integration play a part in the decarbonization pathway? For example, Quebec and Manitoba have abundant hydroelectric resources that could potentially play a similar role as gas in terms of grid stability. In general, can intermittency of renewable resources be mitigated through wider geographical interconnection?
Is there a potential to overbuild wind and solar capacity given that they are so cheap? Could this also play a part in terms of grid stability?
