We have restrictions on dock size, e.g. amount of water coverage allowed for a dock (Six Mile Lake) Allowing house boat tie up would defeat the purpose which is intended to protect the lakes. I object to these large structures along the shoreline. I think it would be difficult to monitor the length of time a houseboat is tied to the shoreline or ankored close to shore. I believe there would also be pollution involved.
