As a cottage owner, we are subject to many regulations to protect the water and environment which we happily adhere to. The current regulations on floating homes, camping on the water are vague. We’ve been to communities where they did not set up regulations and now they are stuck with them. These floating homes are dumping waste, gray water etc with no recourse. Who would police this if they are allowed to “camp” There would be so. Any costs to the taxpayers as well as the environment to allow this. Yes, the water is for all, but if we don’t take care of it these “ campers” just move on to the next lake.
