My family has been on Kahshe Lake since the early 1900s & have witnessed the changes in the lake water over that time There has been a steady decline - acid rain, poor septic systems, growth of green algae. We believe okaying floating houseboats would only add to the decline of the lake waters. Kahshe doesn’t have enough marinas to support this activity. Also a lack of available land to access for moorage. If required. A considerable acreage of the lake’s land is crown land & unavailable for development. The other consideration is the size of Kahshe & Bass Lake. Not really big enough. I would strongly suggest that Kahshe & Bass Lake not be considered appropriate for floating homes of any size.
