I understand the position when applied to houseboats that have, in the past, anchored for months at a time in the same place.
However, the average boater may spend a few days anchoring in areas such as southern Georgian Bay.
These new rules will no longer allow those boaters (who make up the largest number) to enjoy the resources we have.
The fallout would be devastating to the boating community as well as marinas in general.
A blanket policy to address the houseboat problem is not the answer.
